How I engineer

The parts most teams get wrong, designed in from day one.

A product is only as reliable as the systems underneath it. These are the pieces I design, build and run myself on every serious project.

  1. 01Realtime

    Realtime that holds up under load

    Live order status, chat, dashboards and presence over WebSockets, designed so that adding servers adds capacity instead of dropping messages.

    • Socket.IO rooms and targeted fan-out
    • Presence and reconnection handling
    • Redis adapter for horizontal scaling

  2. 02Auth & security

    Auth you don’t have to worry about

    Short-lived access tokens, rotating refresh tokens and role-based access, so a leaked token has a short life and every route knows who is allowed in.

    • Access + refresh token rotation with reuse detection
    • RBAC and session management
    • Rate limiting and input validation at the edge

  3. 03Async work

    Slow work moved off the request path

    Invoices, notifications, reports and syncs run in background workers, so the app stays fast and a failed job gets retried instead of lost.

    • Redis-backed queues and worker pools
    • Retries with backoff and dead-letter handling
    • Idempotent jobs and scheduled cron tasks

  4. 04Payments & integrations

    Payments and integrations that reconcile

    Gateway webhooks verified and processed exactly once, then turned into what the business needs: paid orders, PDFs, WhatsApp and Telegram messages.

    • Razorpay, Cashfree and PhonePe webhooks
    • WhatsApp, Telegram and AI assistants with function calling
    • Invoice and document PDFs with Gotenberg

  5. 05Ship & operate

    Shipped, load-tested and kept running

    I set up the servers, pipelines and monitoring myself on AWS, GCP, DigitalOcean or a VPS. When traffic spikes and something slows down, I find the real bottleneck and fix it — then stay on to keep it healthy.

    Problem
    A multi-category marketplace needs catalog, ordering, logistics tracking and vendor onboarding working together.
    What I built
    Customer shopping app plus the marketplace web platform and vendor and partnership intake, designed and engineered end to end.
    Outcome
    Customer app live on Google Play and the App Store; the full marketplace at anythingkart.com is in progress.

    Problem
    A licensed e-Return Intermediary needed a filing platform that stays reliable when traffic concentrates around India’s ITR deadlines.
    What I built
    Next.js and Node.js platform with user dashboards, secure document management, automated tax computation, and an admin panel with audit tracking and notifications.
    Outcome
    In production since 2024, serving thousands of users daily, with multi-user support for CA firms.

    Problem
    A tech-recruitment company needed one system for candidates, recruiters and its internal hiring operations.
    What I built
    Candidate portal and applications, recruiter admin and HRMS workflows, a task system for hiring operations, and AI-assisted matching.
    Outcome
    Ongoing engagement since late 2025, with the platform growing alongside the team’s hiring process.
